This Gang Still Can’t Shoot Straight!

Janet Incompetano

Suspicions are fully confirmed. Obama has surrounded himself with so many incompetent fools that even he is at a loss for words (imagine that!). It took him three days to respond to the latest terror attack on the United States as he let his minions and underlings handle his heavy work. When is the man going to learn how to be a leader? But, that’s a rhetorical question and we all know the answer. He lacks any semblance of the characteristics of leadership.

This is evidenced by his response to the almost airline disaster when he said, it was “systemic breakdown of the red tape system” and that it was “totally unacceptable”. A real leader would step up and acknowledge the failure of his staff and take full responsibility for the matter. But not Teflon Barry, no sir, he would make sure the blame got shifted to someone who couldn’t lay it back on him.

The director of Homeland Security and the bumbling idiot Obama calls a press secretary made such a mess out of things that they are a laughing stock now with their pathetic spin attempts. “The system worked” says Janet Napolitano. Say what?  Nothing worked! There wasn’t even a federal air marshal on board the plane and it was a US carrier, Delta. It took a very brave Dutchman to defuse the situation and stop the Al Qaeda operative from blowing everyone up. Notice there is no mention of him in the media. We don’t even know his name. But we got a great moniker for Napolitano- Janet Incompetano.

And then she is backed up with almost the same words by Glibby Gibbs. Now there is a pair to draw to. You will ALWAYS lose that bet! He tried to weasel word his way out of it later in the day by saying his and her statements were being taken out of context by right wing extremists. Yeah, tell me another one, Glibby. At one point Napolitano would not even acknowledge that this was a terrorist act, another of her so called “man caused disasters”. She kept referring to the perp as a “criminal” to grease the skids so he could get mirandized, and have a court appointed lawyer even though his father is a millionaire. Plus she totally has ignored the fact that Al Qaeda has accepted responsibility for the aborted attack publicly! Hmmm, wonder what desk Eric Holder is hiding under?

I hate to say this my friends, but we got lucky again. This was the twelfth aborted U.S. attack/incident this year. There have been only thirty two since 9/11. What does that tell you? We are perceived as weak and gutless.  The only reason they are failing is that Al Qaeda is sending boobs to blow them selves up and don’t really care if they succeed. They want to undermine the American public’s reliance on its internal systems,   AND IT IS WORKING! Their plan is obvious to everyone except Obama. Wear down the American public with these nuisance raids, undermine the American confidence and then WHAM, really let us have it. I fear for the worst.

As long as these politically correct boobs are running our once great country, we are all in danger. Sooner or later they will take out a city and the financial effects of that will be catastrophic. Obama has mortgaged the United States to China and the rest of the world and when we get hit, we will be lost. Payments will be demanded that we will not be able to make. We will lose America, forever.

Remember all this on November 2, 2010.

Another Crook Falls

Baucus Dodges The Press

We all know who Max Baucus is, he’s the senator trying to ram the healthcare bill down our collective throats. He and John McCain had quite a shout out on the senate floor the other day and I grudgingly have to applaud Senator McCain, he kicked old Max’s butt from one end of the chamber to the other. But as usual with Johnnie boy, too little and too late.

But lets get to the issue at hand. Buried in some of the papers the other day was a short article about Max and his girl friend., a Ms. Melodee Hanes. Seems old Maxie wanted her to become a US Attorney and Max nominated her for the position. (Max and his wife are divorced). But I get ahead of myself.

Back in 2008, Melodee and Max took off on a senate junket to visit the United Arab Emirates and Viet Nam. Now all you have to do is look at a globe and you can se this a round the world trip. (sorry, couldn’t resist that). But there was one thing wrong. At the time, Melodee was a “state director” working for Max on his staff and really had no business going on this trip. There as nothing the state director for Montana could contribute to the overall mission in any manner.

While it is normal for staff members to accompany lawmakers on foreign events and meetings, the Senate Finance Committee chairman’s trip in particular could raise some ethical red flags, experts suggested on Saturday.

Hanes has been dating Baucus since the summer of 2008, and if she was invited on a trip that “she would not have gone on otherwise” based on her position, Baucus may find himself in the wrong, noted Melanie Sloan, executive director of the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW).

Meanwhile, Baucus’ fellow Senator from Montana tossed him under the bus rather than defend the nomination of Hanes to the US Attorney post.  Jon Tester told Politico that he had supported the nomination as a courtesy to Baucus, and that it was entirely Baucus’ call.

Sen. Jon Tester said Sunday he had limited involvement with fellow Montana Democrat Max Baucus’s decision to float his girlfriend as a possible nominee for a top prosecutor position in Montana.

In an interview with POLITICO, Tester said “no” when asked if he was aware that Melodee Hanes and Baucus were engaged in a romantic relationship when he interviewed Hanes for the position of U.S. attorney in Montana earlier this year.

Tester called Hanes “well-qualified” but said “it was Max’s call” to include her name with two others on a list for the White House to consider before choosing a nominee for the position.

“We interviewed a bunch of folks,” Tester said.

They interviewed a bunch of folks?  What a coincidence that the most qualified candidate happened to be the one sharing Baucus’ bed!

So it’s going to be fascinating to see how the press corps and political class react to the news that Montana Senator Max Baucus recommended a staff member who was his girlfriend for the plum job of U.S. Attorney. Mr. Baucus disclosed the attempted sweetheart deal early Saturday after media inquiries made clear the story was breaking. The 67-year-old Senator disclosed that he had recommended Melodee Hanes and two others earlier this year for the U.S. Attorney post in Montana. While Presidents appoint U.S. attorneys, by tradition home-state Senators have significant influence in the selection, especially Senators from the same party as the President.

A spokesman said the Senator and Ms. Hanes began their relationship in mid-2008 after Mr. Baucus separated from his wife. Ms. Hanes left his payroll earlier this year, but only later did the couple come to their senses and decide to withdraw her application for the U.S. Attorney post. She nonetheless landed on her feet in another job at the Justice Department, and “was awarded the position based solely on her merit,” the Baucus spokesman said. Of course she was.

As Senate Finance Chairman, Mr. Baucus is a crucial player in health-care reform, and our guess is that neither Democrats nor their media allies will want to explore this nepotistic near-miss lest it interfere with that greater political goal. But if they don’t, we will learn a good deal about workplace ethics and political double standards.
